Traditional technique of kashoku(decoration)
The lacquer surface is carved with a chisel and a chinkin(carving) knife to draw a design. Then, gold powder and color pigments are placed in the carved parts to colorfully finish the surface.
A design is drawn on the surface with a brush using lacquer and gold powder, etc. are sprinkled to gorgeously decorate the surface.
