Technique of transferring (Screen printing)

What is transferring?

Transferring refers to the technique of transferring a design on to the surface of lacquerware.
Various types of designs can be transferred on to the surface of lacquerware to beautifully decorate the surface with various colors.
Ink is applied on a pattern film called “han” and pressure is lightly applied by rubbing over it so that the design will be transferred on to the surface. There are multiple pattern films according to the number of colors, and transferring is carried out one color by one color, one over another. In such way, even a complicated design can be transferred on to the surface.
